Improvement of Mobile Application for Truck Drivers
Driving truck, receiving information from dispatcher, checking map and at the same time communicating regarding the load, requires strong attention. With the mobile app design concept we tried to minimise drivers divided attention cognitive load to increase the safety on the road.

By creating truck driver's mobile application we were following Design thinking methodology that provides a solution-based approach for problem solving.

1. Empathise
First, we were trying to gain empathic understanding of the problem we were trying to solve. This application development stage investigated truck driver's persona.

2. Define
During the Define stage, we were trying to define driver's user journey. Detect pain points and needs of the driver.
we put together the information that was gathered during the Empathise stage. We analysed observations and synthesised them in order to define core problems.

3. Ideate
After first two stages we were ready to generate ideas. Brainstorming session combined with competitors overview helped us to expand the problem space. We used card sorting methodology to prioritise needs and design decisions.

4. Prototype
First we have created user flows and prepared wireframes that were validated before starting high-fi prototypes. After the test was conducted we have prepared high-fi prototypes for the final test and hand-off for development team.

5. Test
Final usability test was conducted with truck drivers to measure efficiency (time), effectiveness (errors) and user satisfaction.

Empathy Map
Empathy map helps to capture and prioritise our persona needs. This method helps to develop deep, shared understanding and empathy of user/personas.
